Dr. Wong is a young family physician eager to build a long term primary care practice. Having been both born and raised in Winnipeg, he considers himself a Winnipegger through and through. He completed his undergraduate, medical school, and family medicine residency training all through the University of Manitoba. Currently his practice is split between work in Winnipeg and work in various Northern Manitoba communities every month. His outside interests include cooking and all things orange!

Dr. Wong wishes to build long-lasting relationships with a focus on patient-centered care, safety, and respect.

Dr. Vidal was born and raised in Winnipeg and is proud to be opening a medical practice in his home community. He completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biotechnology before starting medical school at the University of Manitoba. Upon achieving his medical degree, Dr. Vidal began training as an orthopedic surgeon before he realized that his passion was in primary care. He transferred into Family Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Manitoba in 2021.

Dr. Vidal is excited to be joining the team at Scurfield Medical Centre. He is pleased to offer a diverse practice that provides care throughout all the stages of life, including pediatrics, women’s health (incl. labour and delivery), men’s health, and care of the elderly.

In his spare time, Dr. Vidal loves cheering on the Winnipeg Jets, exploring the great outdoors, and spending time with his wife at the family cabin.

Dr. Cheung is a Family Physician. He has completed his medical school education and residency training at the University of Manitoba. His practice interests include General Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Surgery and Cardiology. Dr. Cheung has experience with both Rural and Indigenous Medicine and was the Chief of Staff at Percy Moore Hospital from 2015 to 2019. He is the Founder and Medical Director of Scurfield Medical Centre.

Dr. Wong is a Family Physician with additional training in Sports Medicine. He completed his medical training at the University of Manitoba. His family medicine residency was completed at McGill University followed by enhanced skills training at University of Manitoba for Sport and Exercise Medicine. His practice areas of interest include Sport Medicine, Walk-In Care, and Ultrasound Guided Injections. He has experiece in both coaching and competing, at the Provincial, National, and World Championship (Team Canada) level for ultimate frisbee. He has experience with a number of elite collegiate and professional sport teams.

Dr. M. Girgis

DR. GIRGIS IS NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING PATIENTS.

Dr. Girgis is a Paediatrician. She completed her medical school education at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Her residency training was completed at UMass Chan-Baystate in Massachusetts, where she also served as Chief Resident. Her practice interests include Paediatric Health Surveillance, NICU Graduate Management, Asthma, Eczema, Failure to Thrive, ADHD, and Mental Health. She is originally from Calgary, Alberta and has developed a love for skiing. She also likes to bake and knit.

Karen Kaye Junio

Karen has 12 years experience with Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and private doctor’s offices as an Administrator and Coordinator. She received her Medical Assistant Certification from Herzing College.

Karen focuses on utilizing state-of-the-art clinical equipment, software, and electronic medical records to their full potential to increase effective and efficient clinic procedures and policies while supporting, training and mentoring administrative staff. These strengths deliver comprehensive and seamless support to the practice and patients.
